Ottawa, ON – On December 30th the Competition Bureau signaled its intention to appeal the Competition Tribunal’s decision rejecting its challenge of the Rogers-Shaw transaction. The Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project (CAMP) released the following statement:

“We are encouraged by the Bureau’s move to stand up for Canadians and appeal the Tribunal’s decision allowing the Rogers-Shaw merger to proceed, ” said Keldon Bester, CAMP co-founder. “Canada’s outdated competition law means the Bureau still faces an uphill battle, but we look forward to the additional scrutiny of such an important decision for Canada’s economy.”
